James A. Spears

James A. Spears, of Trenton for 55 years, originally from Justell, Kentucky, passed away June 12, 2022. Loving husband of Madlyn Newsome Spears. Beloved father of Jodi (Thom) Williams, Todd, and the late Jeffrey Spears. Proud grandfather of Jake Thomas and Nicholas James. Cherished brother- in- law of Anthony Newsome Jr and Doris Newsom. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. He will be dearly missed by his fur babies. James met the love of his life, Madlyn at Betsy Layne High School and were high school sweethearts. James worked as a millwright at Ford Motor Company for 37 years before retiring. He just celebrated his 20 years of retirement on June 1. James loved boating and jet skiing. He treasured his Honda motorcycles and camping anywhere he could. He was well known for his charitable benevolence; he supported many different charities and served the Lord through multiple organizations. He was an active member of Church of Christ for 54 years. ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’ Matthew 25:21
