Jack Sharkey Redwine, age 90, of Riverview Michigan died in his sleep on Friday, May 24, 2019. His funeral service will be private for immediate family only. He was born March 9, 1929, in Allsboro, Alabama, to Thomas Rather and Ida Lee (Twitty) Redwine. He first married Gail (Pugh) and had three children: Leslie (Lester) Wallace, John Redwine and Mark (Nancy) Redwine. After their divorce, he married Beverly (Singleton-English) and together they found lasting love until her death in 2011. Jack was the stepfather to Wendy Przytula, Frank (Susan) English, Cindy (Steven) Gravila and Jill (Guy) Meggison. He was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Jack served in the US Air Force beginning in September 1950 in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in September 1954. Jack retired from Ford Motor Company in 1987 having worked both at the Glass Plant and Rouge Steel. Jack was also an All-American Football player at the University of North Alabama where he later was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Jack enjoyed spending time up north at the cottage he and Beverly shared. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Wm. Marcus and Bremery (Bim) and his sisters, Katherine and Juanita, his wife Beverly and stepdaughter Jill.
