Ivalene Mcdonald

Ivalene McDonald, 95 of Sweetwater, Texas, formerly of Newport, Michigan, left this earth to forever live in The Kingdom Of Heaven "Gods Kingdom". She made her journey to Heaven on December 5, 2024 at the Sterling Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Sweetwater, surrounded by loved ones. Ivy was born December 10, 1928 in Jenson, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late James Thomas Wagner and Annie (Eads) Wagner. She married Wayne V. McDonald on January 28, 1952 in Angola, IN. Ivy was born Pentecost and was a devout Christian all her life. She read her Bible daily and in its entirety three times in her lifetime. She loved Jesus and Angels. She sang of them both often. She was a homemaker and a stranger to no one. She was a woman who many would look toward for life's questions that only a mother would know how to answer with love and wisdom. She loved her family and friends immensely. She is survived by sons: Michael (Karen) Locke of Armada, MI; Terry McDonald (partner Mark) of Waverly, OH; Mark McDonald of Sweetwater, TX; and Tim McDonald of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters: Cindy (Jeff) Borsheim of Covina, CA; Laura (Pio) Munoz of Sweetwater, TX; Amy McDonald of California; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and sister in law Jan Adams of Monroe, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Pamela S. Miekos.  In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to: Hospice Of The Big Country, 4601 Hartford St., Abilene, TX. 79605.
