Iva Wallis

Click on the tribute wall above to view Iva's video tribute. Iva Mae Wallis. Oct 27 1926 - Sept 11 2020 Born in Marlette, Michigan on the family farm. She married Raymond Wallis (1925-2018) in 1950. They raised their kids, Janice (Alderson), Renee (Don Muise) and Gary (Marie) Wallis, in Allen Park, Michigan. Iva is survived by her sister Laura, her 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Both she and Ray were members of the Angelica Lutheran Church and volunteered there for several years. Iva was always willing to help anyone who needed it, even those she didn’t know. I remember her running out of the house and down the street with a glass of cold water for the garbage collector when the temperature outdoors was exceptionally hot. She was generous to many, many charities and had a whole closet full of note pads with her name on them, and piles upon piles of return address labels from the charities she donated to. She was always a caring mother who was there to offer us encouragement and gentle guidance. Always thinking of us first - she would say, “Go put a sweater on, I’m cold.” She will forever be remembered for her kind heart and gentle soul.
