Iris Audrey Markert

Iris Audrey Markert (93) went to be with our Lord on 12-6-2020 just nine days short of her 94th birthday. She passed away peacefully with loving family at her side. Iris is survived by sons Michael Parker (Vicki), Richard Parker and Gary Markert (Diane), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Martha King of Bristol, England, her loving husband, Harry Michael Markert (a WWII and Korean War Veteran) and her sister, Rita King. Iris came to America in 1946, becoming a proud citizen of this country in 1960. She resided in Brownstown Township (Rockwood) for 69 years. Due to the pandemic a celebration of her long life will be held at a later date.
