Wife of late Thadeus Pudelek, who passed away in 1994.

Mother of Timothy Pudelek (Marylin) of Vero Beach, Florida, Predeceased Thomas Pudelek (predeceased Christine) of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Stanley Pudelek (predeceased Valinda) of Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 16 to help support her

mom during WWII. She married at age 20 and became a stay-at-home mom until her boys were

grown.

At age 40 she began working as a telephone operator for Lynn Hospital in Lincoln Park.

When Lynn Hospital closed, she accepted a job as a receptionist at the Downriver Guidance

Center from which she eventually retired.

Hobbies: Bowling leagues. Gardening. She had the most beautiful garden on the block.

Spending time with her grandchildren.

Member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lincoln Park; St. Hugh Catholic

Church in Allen Park, Michigan, and St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

She was a beloved mother who was always there for her three sons.

Visitation will take place Friday, January 10, 2025 at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place Saturday, January 11, 2024 where Irene will lie instate from 9:30 am until the mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Scapular Catholic Church. Entombment will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery on Monday, January 13 at 2:00 pm.
