Ira Ellen Hale, known to her close family and friends as Tish, was born on May 14, 1936 in Fonde, Kentucky and died on March 4, 2020 at her home in Trenton at the age of 83. She moved to Trenton in 1952 and married her love Tommy Hale on July 4, 1953; they were married 61 years prior to his death in 2014. Ira loved spending time with her beloved family and tending to her garden. She is the last surviving founding member of the Trenton Missionary Baptist Church. Ira was a devout Christian and servant of God; she faithfully served her Church and family for 67 years. She was the best and most loving wife and mother in the world and will forever be cherished and missed by her loving family and friends. Ira is survived by her children; Margaret (John) Sickon, Peggy Law (Milo Gaynier) and Tom Hale, Jr. (Amy Kuykendall), her grandchildren; John, Jr. (Kaleen) Sickon, Betsy Ellen Sickon, John Hackett (Erin LaPalm), Kevin Law and Sydney Hale, her great grandchildren; J.J. Sickon, baby girl Sickon who is on the way and Landree Jade Ellen Polley and her brother-in-law; Bob (Gail) Hale. She will be missed by her faithful companion Honey, who was her French Bulldog/Pug. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents; Roy S. Cadle, Sr. and Emma D. Cadle, three sisters; Helen Seal, Anna Underwood and Margaret Buckner and her brother Roy Cadle, Jr. Visitation is on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 3 – 8 pm at The Ridge Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 2272 West Jefferson, Trenton. The funeral service is on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Private interment Ferndale Cemetery. Memorial contributions to honor Ira’s life may be made to the Trenton Missionary Baptist Church, 407 Sibley, Trenton, MI 48183 or Trenton Food Pantry at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 1790 Fort Street, Trenton, MI 48183.
