Inez Cooke

Cooke, Inez. Age 88 of Lincoln Park. Born November 9, 1926 in Barbourville, Kentucky to the late David and Matilda (nee: McNeil) Miller and died March 29, 2015 at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late Ira D. Cooke, Jr . Loving mother of Gary (Susan) and Ira (Mary). Proud grandmother of Lisa (Christopher) Trela, Matthew Cooke, Amy (Josh) Lincoln and Hillary Cooke . Great grandmother of Brent, Paige, Emily, Ryan, Aaron and Olivia. Dearest sister of June Gatliff. Also survived by other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother Roy Miller and one sister Mable Smith. Inez was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Allen Park and retired as an Aide from the Lincoln Park Public School System. She was a great cook and enjoyed playing board games. Memorial contributions to honor her memory may be made as the donor chooses. Visitation Wednesday 5 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Inez will lie state Thursday 10 am at Bethesda Baptist Church, Allen Park until funeral service at 11 am.
