Illana L. Zaharakis

Illana L. Zaharakis, of Southgate, passed away July 14, 2023. Beloved daughter of Anthony and Stefanie Zaharakis. Loving sister of Anthony James “A.J.”. Dear granddaughter of Deborah (Leo) Benchich, Robert Drum, James and Linda Zaharakis. Cherished great granddaughter of Pamela and the late Russell Ambrose. She is survived by her aunts and uncles, Jamie, Chrissy, Andrea (Ben), and Candice (Mike), along with many cousins.

She leaves behind her dog, King and cat Athena to forever miss her. She loved animals, baking and nails. Aspired to be a doctor, nail tech, veterinarian and chef. She was always able to break the awkward introduction with someone, whether it was observing their nails or sparking conversations about someone’s pets. She loved to do arts and crafts and watch Dr. Pol.

Visitation will be held at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, Allen Park Chapel on Friday July 21, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 6:00 pm.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
