Ileen B. Kornacki

Our precious, loving Mom Ileen Kornacki, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the age of 99. She was a beautiful Christian woman who loved her family so much. She always put her family first before herself. She was always there for all of us. She will be missed by family and many friends. Holidays were always fun with family gatherings. She was a wonderful cook and baked delicious desserts. Our Mom was very active in bowling, walking, dancing, going to casinos by bus and traveling on many senior trips. She was a happy, caring person who seen the best in everyone and always had a good word for all. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. She was an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. They all called her "Bushie".

Ileen is the loving mother of Dee (Jack) Repp and Steve (Mary) Kornacki. Cherished Bushie of Ed (Kristi) Kornacki, Matthew (Cinde) Kornacki, Cheyne (Lisa) Kornacki, Derek Kornacki, and Bradley (Sarah) Kornacki. Dearest great-Bushie of Abbie, Lily, Mia, Brenden, Katelyn, Breyden, Scarlett, Felix, and Margot Kornacki. Ileen was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Stephen Kornacki, her parents Matthew and Bernice Chojnowksi, her brother Frank Hojnowski, and her sisters Stella Kornacki and Clara Simo.

Visitation for Ileen will take place on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. A scripture service will be held that evening at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at St. Timothy Catholic Church located at 2901 Manning St., Trenton, MI 48183. 9:30 a.m. In State and 10:00 a.m. Mass. Entombment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
