Howard Thomas Witherspoon

Witherspoon, Howard T., age 78 of Allen Park, passed away October 2nd, 2016. Beloved husband to the late Rillie. Loving father to Howard(Melissa) Witherspoon, Kimberly(David) Waldecker, Ralph(Louise Melton) Witherspoon, Randy(Dianne) Witherspoon, Ken(Chris Kolb) Witherspoon, and Robert(Ashley) Witherspoon. Proud grandfather to Rebecca, Jennifer, Christina, Ryan, Cody, Addison, and Thomas, and great grandfather to Angelina, Aubrey, and Jaxson. Caring brother of Robert Witherspoon, Barbara Mitchell, James Witherspoon, Frank Witherspoon, and Patti LaForest. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11am, followed by procession to Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. Following the cemetery, the family would like everyone to join them for food and fellowship at The Rhapsody Restaurant in Southgate. Memorial contributions in Howard's honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
