Henry Joseph Laura

Born in South Rockwood, Henry was the son of Arthur and Minnie (Duchene) Laura. He married the love of his life, Mary Lezotte October 8, 1938. Sadly she preceded him in death July 31, 1992. A dedicated husband and father Henry worked hard supporting his family working for Ford Motor Company, he did painting and finish carpentry and as a Carpenter for Bob Lezotte Builders for over 30 years. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church in Rockwood; he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression was an avid fisherman and in general loved "life on the river". Henry leaves to cherish his memory his children: Gail Bunch of Woodhaven, Gary (Vicky) Laura of Flagstaff, Arizona, Nancy Diegel of Onsted, Michigan, Mary Jo Forrest of South Rockwood, Terry (Bill) VanBuskirk of Dundee, Rodney Laura of Grayling, Edwin (Nancy) Greer-Laura of Columbia, Tennessee, Beth (Kevin Smith) Laura of Monroe and Barb (Ken) Chrapko of Rockwood; a sister Arlys Clegg of Rockwood as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife a parents, he was preceded in death by 6 siblings; 2 grandchildren and 3 sons-in-law: Jim, Ken and Kasey.
