Born March 3, 1928 in Detroit to Maryann and Stanley Furgal. Helen was called to life everlasting on September 26, 2020 while in Hospice care in California due to Alzheimers. Dearest sister of the late Genevieve (John Zrembski), Matty Furgal, Anna (Zenon Kolasa). Devoted wife of the late John for 59 years. Loving mother of John, Cheryl (Andrew Montalbano), Karen (Larry Chupurdy) Marianne (Siegfried Kukier) Nancy (Lynn Annan) Patricia Mills, Judith, and Michele (Mark Parrish). Beloved Grandmother of Nikki, Christie, Andrea, Dustin, Jenna, Garrett, Jason, Tiffany, Miranda, Matthew, Madison, Marissa, Mckenna, Marlowe, Zackary, and Savannah. Great Grandmother to Caden and Gage. Helen will be missed by her nieces and nephews, especially her eldest niece, Joan Sparks (Zrembski) who journeyed with her through many happy and difficult times. As an Avon Representative, Helen made many close friends with her caring, friendly and generous personality. She won many Avon Presidential Awards as a “Top Seller” for many years in a row. During her last years of life taken away by Alzheimers, she smiled, loved to hear music, and especially dance. All of her life she had a devotion to Mary, The Blessed Mother, during her illness she sang the Ave Maria, and was comforted when she held her rosary.
