Lieto, Helen C. Age 87. Died September 16, 2006 at her home in Monroe, MI. Wife of Emanuel Lieto of Monroe, MI. Mother to Ronald Lieto, Sr. of Monroe, MI and Raphael (Lynda) Lieto of Toledo, OH. Grandmother of 2. She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Ellen (nee Krans) Carr, an infant son and 1 sister Beverly (Don) Doty. She belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Monroe, Sigma Gamma Soriety, American Association of University Women, Michigan Education Association and the Monroe Humane Society. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1937 and the University of Vermont in 1941 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She did some work toward her Master Degree and enjoyed reading and taking care of all kinds of animals.
