Hazel Elizabeth Respondeck

Born in Ecorse Township, Hazel was the daughter of Elmer and Florence (Thornton) LaFountain. She married the love of her life, Carl Respondeck, on September 20, 1945. Sadly he preceded her in death May 17, 2007. A dedicated homemaker, Hazel was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. When younger Hazel and Carl were always out on Lake Erie fishing. She loved Euchre and making pies. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. When older Hazel loved to watch the Detroit Tigers, work on crafts, and spend time with her great grandchildren Carly and Ellie. She also loved to read. Hazel leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter Lisa Ferrante and great granddaughters Carly Ferrante and Elizabeth Ferrante; as well as a brother Samuel LaFountain. In addition to her parents and husband; she was preceded in death by a daughter: Elaine Ferrante; three brothers: Albert LaFountain, Norman LaFountain and Charles LaFountain; as well as two sisters: Florence Venier and Mildred LaFountain.
