Harvy W.C. Hardy

Hardy, Harvy W.C.; Age 74 of Monroe died February 27, 2015 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Harvy was born March 12, 1940 in Rome, Georgia to the late Harvy and Alma (nee: Lipscomb). Beloved husband of 50 years to Barbara (nee: Morris) who he married on December 25, 1964 in Monroe. Loving dad of Harvy (Tina) of Ida, Julie (Shannon) Farris of Dundee and Karen (Kevin) Darnell of Romulus. Proud grandpa of Cherokee Crum; Darian, Anthony and Bethany Farris; Justin Morgan; Seiharia Dennis and William Hardy and great grandpa of Derek Crum, Axton Crum, Oliver Morgan and Azalea Farris.. Dearest brother of James and Robert both of Alabama and Catherine (Hugh) McGatha and Sharon Gowens both of Alabama. Also survived by his "adopted" grandchildren as well as other loving family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson David Morgan and 2 sisters Maggie Leach and Edith Arp. Harvy served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He retired in 2004 from DT & I Grand Trunk Railroad and formerly attended Keystone Community Church in Saline. His family was the love of his life and he will be forever in their hearts. Funeral service Monday 6 pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 East Elm, Monroe. Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday 3 – 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in any way the donor chooses.
