Harvey Haynes

Harvey E. Haynes, age 78, of Monroe, MI, passed away Saturday December 28, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital Monroe. Harvey was born December 10, 1935 in Monroe, MI to Joseph and Malissie S. (Garrett) Haynes, he attended public schools in Monroe. Harvey was employed in the maintenance department at Chrysler Trenton Engine plant for over 30 years. He married Ezella Adkins on April 5, 1958 in Detroit, MI, sadly she preceded him in death May 14, 2006. Harvey was a family man, he enjoyed camping, traveling and playing bingo. Harvey is survived by son Roger L. (Lenore) Maynard of Taylor, MI; siblings, Curtis C. Haynes of Monroe, James Haynes of Muskegon, MI, Amy R. Sickles of Gainesville, FL, Evelyn Self of Monroe and Ruby E. (Ron) Pope of Monroe; grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Brian, Shawn, Jamie, Matt and Derek; 12 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 6 infant children, son Curtis Maynard, daughter Connie, brothers Raymond and Lloyd and his parents. Family will receive friends from 1-8 PM Thursday January 2, 2014 at Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Monroe, where services will be held at 11 AM Friday January 3, 2014, Rev Harold Raines and Rev Gary Pickrell of Monroe Full Gospel Church will officiate, interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery Huron Twp.
