Harold "H" Mckart

Born in Monroe, Harold was the son of Buford and Typhenia (Williamson) McKart. He married the love of his life, Betty Brooks, on August 7, 1972. Harold forked in the construction trades, working for Detroit Edison at both the Fermi Plant and the Monroe Coal Burner. In Harold's younger days he was very accomplished boxer and as the Golden Gloves Champion in 1958. He then went on to coach and teach boxing at Arthur Lesow Community Center. Harold leaves to cherish his memory, Betty, his wife of the past 45 years; a son Harold Shane (Susan) McKart of Monroe; his siblings: Eugene McKart of Monroe, Jerry McKart of Monroe, Daniel "Tab" McKart of Monroe, Dennis McKart of Monroe and Judy McKart of Monroe; a granddaughter Shayla McKart; his step-children Vickey Vanderviss of Tampa, Florida and Julie Churchill of Newport; step grandchildren: Elisha (Paul) Lieto, Randy Harper, Jody (Aubry) Kett, James Borckway, Chad (Erica) Brockway and William (Amanda) Alston; his best friend Dickie Riggs; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly he was preceded in death a son Daniel McKart and his parents.
