Guadalupe Irma Nelson

Guadalupe was born on May 15, 1943 in Laredo, Texas and died on July 23, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit at the age of 77; she was of Detroit. Beloved wife of the late Marco Antonio Tinajero and also preceded in death by her former husband James Nelson. Loving mom of Marco Antonio, Jr. (Julie) Tinajero, Dino (Christine) Tinajero, Sarah (Josh) Twehues and David Nelson. Proud grandma of Anthony, Rebecca, Dominic, Jack and Charlie. Great grandma of Vincent, Violet and Valerie . Dearest sister of the late Gregorio, Isidro, Eva and Margaret. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Silvia (nee: Garcia) Ortegon. In keeping with CDC and State of Michigan guidelines during the pandemic, it is requested by the family and required by the cemetery for everyone to wear a mask and maintain social distance for the committal service which will be on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 3 pm at Woodmere Cemetery, 9400 West Fort Street, Detroit, MI 48209. There is no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made as the donor chooses.
