She was a charter and lifetime member of the American Legions Post 426 Women's Auxiliary of Trenton and a lifetime member of the VFW post 4230 Gibraltar, MI. She was a very patriotic person, marching in many Memorial Parades, distributing poppies and placing flags on veteran's graves.
