Gloria Jean Sahr

Born in Canton, Illinois. Gloria was the daughter of Robert and Jolene (Kay) Smith. She married William (Bill) Sahr on November 3, 1991. Sadly he preceded her in death March 14, 2012. Gloria worked as a Restaurant Manager at various places throughout her career. She was a board member and treasurer of the Stoney Point Association. Gloria enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, and dancing. She was very adventurous throughout her life. Loved by all, her memory will be treasured. She will be missed beyond measure. Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her four daughters : Thea (Ray) Vandercook of Monroe, MI., Sharyll Beavers of Temperance, MI., Vicki (Chuck) Kowalski of Oxford, MI., Robbi (Roger) Langnes of Oxford, MI., and her two sons: Dwight Wade of Newport, MI., and Brad (Laurie) Wade of Dundee, MI. She will be sadly missed by 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; as well as a brother, Ed Smith of Toledo, OH. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Peter John (PJ) Mihos; a brother, Dwight Smith and a sister, Sandra "Sissy" Lascola. In accordance with Gloria's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
