Born in Wyandotte, Glendora was the daughter of James and Gladys (Trombley) Carolan. She married the love of her life, William Trotter, on September 27, 1952. Sadly he preceded her in death July 23, 1978. A dedicated homemaker, Glendora also had worked as an Accountant at the Holiday Inn in Monroe for many years. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Rockwood and the Daughters of Mary; she was an active volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Allen Park as well as Detroit for over 38 years; the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Riverview and Women of the Moose in Taylor, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family.
Glendora leaves to cherish her memory her children: Bernard “Budd” Trotter, Pam MacNeil, Larry Trotter, Cindy (John) Simons and Dan (Debbie) Trotter; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; as well as her sister Patricia Reames. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Jack Simons and by 2 siblings: Leo Higgins and Catherine Hosfelt.
