Geraldine M Stempien

Geraldine M. Stempien, age 98 of Grosse Ile, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2023.

Born July 16th, 1925 in Bad Axe, MI to the late George and Marguerte Kosal. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald R. Stempien, sharing 60 years together. Geri is survived by her 6 children, Karen Van Atta, David G. Stempien, Denise (Larry) Berrell, Ronald M. (Carol) Stempien, Tamra A. ( John) Grimes, and Timothy K. Stempien. Dear grandma to Melissa (Brad) Reiss, Tyson Reiss, Nicole (John) DeVries, Jamie (Kyle) Dehne, and Ronald Stempien. Great-grandma to Nora Dehne, Rowan Rice, Stellan Rice, Luke DeVries.

Geri was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. In her spare time, she was an avid tennis player and played the sport into her early 80's. Above all she will be missed for her ability to truly forgive and forget.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at the Trenton Chapel- Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday October 25th, 2023 at the Trenton Chapel.
