Loving Wife, Mother and Grandma


Geraldine A. Lilly, age 88, of Riverview, died at 5:32 a.m. on December 11, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining and poor health for several years.


Geraldine was born in River Rouge, Michigan on September 19, 1936. She was one of six children born from the union of the late George and Isabelle (La Framboise) Pattenaude.


Geraldine married the love of her life, Raymond Lilly, on November 17, 1956, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in River Rouge, Michigan. From their union would come the birth of eight children. Family was very important to her, as she cherished the time spent with her husband and children. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. Geraldine and Raymond were among the original members of St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Riverview, Michigan.


Left to cherish her memory are Darlene Lilly and Michael Lilly of Riverview, Daniel (Cheri) Lilly of Newport, Kathy (Brad) Puckett of Southgate, Gloria (Ted) Schaafsma of Flat Rock, Carol Lazarski of Woodhaven, Joyce (John) Lazarski of Brownstown, and Angela (Eric) Richards of Southgate; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Louella Pattenaude.


Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings including Milton Pattenaude, Marion Bellmore, Jeannie Kusiak, Robert Pattenaude, and Norman Pattenaude.


The family suggests donations in memory of Geraldine to the Alzheimer's Association.
