Gerald L. Bruno Jr.

Jerry Bruno died peacefully and went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2024 at 8:57 pm.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Kimberly, his sons Jerry, Christopher (Katie), five lovely grandchildren, his mother, Hilda, sisters Ann, Donna, Kelly, Tina, and brother David.

Jerry was an amazing husband, great dad, and an unbelievable papa who loved his family with all his heart. He was generous to everyone he met and always willing to help anyone in need.

Jerry started working at General Motors in 1978 until he retired from GM in 2010. Because he couldn’t stay retired, he started working at Ford Motor Company in 2012. He loved his job, and he loved being an electrician.

He was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2015. He had surgery to remove his thyroid, but later scans showed the cancer had spread to his chest. Jerry has fought this battle valiantly and continued to work as much as possible through it all.

Because of his faith in Christ and stubborn perseverance in fighting the cancer, he never gave up. He never complained about how much pain he was constantly in. He kept on working and helping people as long as he could. Though he will be always loved and missed by his family and friends, Jerry knew that to live is Christ, and to die is gain, and we look forward to seeing him again.
