George Roy Bussell

Born in Harrogate, Tennessee, George was the son of Sebert and Minnie (Whitaker) Bussell. A high school graduate, he started college studies when he was drafted into the United States Air Force, where he faithfully served our country. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Jean Hobday, on September 8th, 1951. Sadly she preceded him in death March 23, 2021. George worked as a Production Controller at Great Lakes Steel for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. He very much enjoyed going to his property up north in Gladwin, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family.

George leaves to cherish his memory his children: Larry (Lori) Bussell, Nancy Bussell and Lesley (Dave) Klaiber; as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons: Gary Bussell and Jeff Bussell (Cheri) and 8 sisters.
