George C. Zinner, Jr.

Born in Monroe, George was the son of George C. & Eva (Cousino) Zinner. A lifelong Trucker George held many positions throughout his career working at Detroit Stoker, Ford Motor Company, Boron Stop 75 and Pete's/Arctic Ice. He also was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. George is survived by his son Chris (Michelle) Shanafelt of Monroe; brother Gerald (Joan) Zinner of Southgate; a sister Yvonne (Carl) Florian of Newport; two grandchildren: Andrew Shanafelt of Monroe and Christopher Shanafelt of Monroe. He also leaves a Godchild Karla Yvette Florian of Honolulu, Hawaii; an aunt Ethel Grunow of Monroe, an uncle Robert (Margery) Zinner of Monroe, as well as his good friend Todd (Kortney) Poupard of Monroe. Sadly George was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home of Monroe.
