George “Bud” Clark passed away peacefully in his home in the early hours of Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 47 years to Jan Clark. Cherished father of Mike (Patsy) Clark, Kathy Weeks Mielke (Bob), Greg (Mike) Clark, Bob Weeks, and Tom Weeks. Loving grandpa of Amy (Bill), Amanda (Tiffany), Emily (Jordan), Kristen, Kelsey (Heather), Markus (Logan) and Jennifer (Ryan). Dear great-grandfather of Alex, Justin, Jenna, Andrew, Jared, Lauren, Paige, Conor, Clark, Hayden, Caden, Hunter, Alexa, and Anthony. Dearest great-great-grandfather of Nora Rose. Caring brother of Robert (Kay) Clark and Kathleen Krause. Adoring pet-parent of Precious. Bud was preceded in death by his daughter Beth (Phil Stinson) Clark, his parents George and Margaret Clark, and his siblings; Ed (the late Dolores) Clark, Joanne (the late Fred) May, and Martha Clark.
Bud was a successful metal fabrication entrepreneur in the aluminum building products industry, including the establishment of Clark Bros. Metal Fabricators and Quality Aluminum Products. Bud was also an avid sportsman and a recreational golfer with several tournament wins, including two with his grandson, Markus. In addition, Bud was a trophied trapshooter who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, Mike, and his brothers, Bob and Ed. In his later years, he was also a Master Bridge player. Bud was a greatly loved man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bud enjoyed splitting his time between his Grosse Ile, Michigan and Stuart, Florida residences.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. There will be a memorial gathering held privately at a later date for the family.
