Gail Vos passed away on April 18, 2025, after 9 months of diligently engaging in treatment for leukemia. She was a life-long resident of the downriver community, born and raised in Allen Park and Riverview, and taught in Trenton. Her career began at Slocum-Truax and she retired after 42 years of distinguished service from Boyd W. Arthurs Middle School in 2018. She had a truly generous spirit and will be remembered for pouring her heart and soul into everything she did in her personal and professional life. She was never as happy as when she was giving her time and energy to elevate others. She was the rock of her family, a devoted wife, loving mother, adored by her 4 grandchildren and esteemed by her sister. Her legacy lives on not only in her family, but also in the thousands of students who have walked through her classroom doors and the colleagues who she has collaborated with and mentored over so many years. She is survived by her Husband of 47 years, Bruce, Her sons, Bryan and Justin, her sister, Lynn, and 4 grandchildren, Sydney, Whitney, Walter, and Henry.
