G. Margaret Hollar

Margaret Hollar (Van Zandt) was born on December 30, 1937 in Comstock, Michigan and went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2020 at the age of 82. She was of Allen Park. Beloved wife of 58 years to John. Loving mother of Julie Hollar Bernick (R. Darrow Bernick) and James A. Hollar (Monica V. Hollar). Proud grandmother of Rogan Bernick, Uma Hollar and Ava Hollar. Dearest sister of the late James L. Van Zandt and sister-in-law Eleanor B. Van Zandt. Preceded in death by her parents Earl and Grace (Pierce) Van Zandt. Also survived by many other loving family, friends and church family. She attended Western Michigan University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Education and attended the University of Michigan receiving a Master's in Music Education. She was a teacher in the Wyandotte Schools, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Professional Educator's Sorority, and organist at the Baptist church she attended. She was loving wife, mother and friend, and will be missed.
