Freman 'Junior' Neal

Born in Monroe, Junior was the son of Freman E. and Jesse (Goos) Neal. He married the love of his life, Dixie Lusk, on February 14, 1953. A dedicated husband and family man, Junior worked for over 45 ½ years in the paper industry, retiring from the Jefferson Smurfet Company. He was a faithful member of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church, and he enjoyed: gardening, woodworking and welding. Junior leaves to cherish his memory, Dixie, his wife of the past 65 years; children: Freman (Rene) Neal of Monroe, Julie (John) Majerski of Monroe and Paul (Cheryl) Neal of Erie; his grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Karwick, Lyn "Punk" (Mike) Herrmann, Brittani Neal and Alicia Neal; great grandchildren: Breanna, Katelyn, Ashley, Rachel, Nathan, Lacy and one on the way; his siblings: Bobby Neal of LaSalle, Billy (Shelby) Neal of LaSalle, Joann Kiser of Knoxville, Tennessee and James (Susan) Neal of LasVegas, Nevada; as well as a special niece and caretaker of Freman and Dixie, Kay LaForest.
