Knight, Fredrick (Fritz) Carlton, Died at home February 20, 2010 age 94. Born February 18, 1916 to parents James Alvin Knight and Amy Mae Cox in Trenton, Michigan. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by brothers Arthur, James, Glenn and Sisters Ora, Helen and Margorie. Mr. Knight was a fifth generation descendent of Trenton pioneers settling in 1833. He graduated from Slocum Truax High School in 1936 where he met and married Frances Matilda (Tillie) Sowers. Together they had children Patricia (Pat), Frederick Jr. (Bud) and Charles (Charlie). Mr. Knight's son Fredrick, Jr. also preceded him in death in 1968. Mr. Knight was employed by Exxon Mobil his entire adult career. He was a life member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge #8 F&M. In retirement, Mr. Knight relocated to Atlanta Michigan. Upon his first wife's death Mr. Knight married Grace Pauline Orr-Sutherby. Since her death Mr. Knight has lived alone and remained active enjoying the woods and solitude along with his hobbies watching the deer and wildlife, tending to his garden, collecting rocks and working in his wood shop, and visits from his family members and friends. In the spring and summer months he especially enjoyed driving his golf cart along the many trails on and near his property. He is survived by two children Patricia (Pat) Teska-Rush, and Charles (Charlie) Knight, Step children : Ted and Sheri Sutherby and Bill and Betty Rutherford. Two grandchildren Robert Teska and Barbara Teska Boughner and Step grandchildren Kevin (Yuli McElroy), Wendy Carter, Jennifer Schulz, and Kathleen Rutherford, Theresa (Doug) Dalhka, Kimberly Sutherby and Toni Sutherby. Fredrick's cremains will be placed next to his first wife Frances Matilda (Tillie)Sowers in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Michigan and next to his second wife Grace Orr-Sutherby in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Johannesburg, Michigan
