Frederick J. Knee

Born in Adrian, Fred was the son of Frederick and June (McCarty) Knee. He married the love of his life, Norma Rudd, on June 25, 1960. Sadly she preceded him in death January 8, 2010. A 1958 graduate of Catholic Central High School, Fred worked for the State of Michigan as a Highway Construction Inspector, until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Fred was a fan of the Southern Michigan Timerwolves, and enjoyed just about any form of car racing from Nascar, drag racing at Milan Dragway to Stock Car Racing at Toledo Speedway and Flat Rock Speedway. Fred leaves to cherish his memory his children: Michelle (Darryl) McIntosh of Monroe, Nanette (her fiance' Timothy Weiland) Knee of Trenton and Jodie (Michael) Kopp of Monroe; nine grandchildren, twelve grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister Patricia (Wally) Shotwell of Monroe; as well as his companion of the past five years, whom he met through Gabby's Ladder, Deanna Terrasi. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Knee, Gary Knee and Larry Knee. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Fred are asked to consider his family to assist with funeral expenses.
