Frank "Sharkey" Aiello

Click on tribute wall to view Frank's memorial video. Frank "Sharkey" Aiello, who was 89 years-old, passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Allen Park on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Beloved husband of Clara Aiello, proud father of Frank (Laurie) Aiello and Lisa Aiello, and the absolute most incredible Nunu to Kail, Alec and Arden Aiello. He was a sibling to the Darin, Vescio, and Soranno families. Sharkey was born in southwest Detroit and spent his entire life in the Detroit area. He was a first generation Italian through and through, and was proud of his Italian heritage. After serving in the U.S. Army, Sharkey spent his working career as a mason for Ford Motor Company and was a staunch member of the UAW. He was the embodiment of the American dream and showed how far a man could take his family by being selfless and hard-working. For those who knew him, his overriding generosity will not be forgotten. He will be deeply missed. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
