Born in Colfax, Indiana, Frank was the son of John and Helen (Craven) DeLeon. A graduate of Trenton High School, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army from September 14, 1953 until August 17, 1955. Frank then married the love of his life, Betty Sue Penn, on November 12, 1955 in Wyandotte. He worked for over 36 years for Michigan Bell/AT&T, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Flat Rock Elks and Wyandotte American Legion. He was a volunteer for the Greater Detroit Boys and Girls Club as well at Lake Erie Metro Park for over 20 years. Frank leaves to cherish his memory, Sue, his wife of the past 59 years; children: Frank (Amity) DeLeon of Accokeek, Maryland and Ted (Christine) DeLeon of Brownstown; grandchildren: John DeLeon, Megan DeLeon and Malory DeLeon; as well as his siblings: John (Pat) DeLeon of McAndrews, Kentucky, Louise (Chuck) Septer of Sylacouga, Alabama, Mary (Bill) Staehlin of Bloomfield Hills, Maggie Tucker of Trenton, Dolores (Tim) Jones of Brownstown and Betty (Mike) Syfrett of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and numerous caring nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was preceded in death by a son John DeLeon, his parents, and a sister Barbara Casady. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John A.
