Frank J. Kolakowski, age 87 of Monroe, passed away peacefully Saturday January 1, 2022. Born October 31, 1934 in Ida, to the late Ben and Blanche Kolakowski. Loving husband of Rose (Terrasi) and the late Mary (Franzen). Dear father of Benjamin (Debbie), Michael (Elma), Laura Hoffer, the late Thomas, and the late Judy Friend. Proud grandfather of Brian Higgins, Teresa (Paul) Moore, Tressa (Kyle) Ramsey, Tiffany Giummo, Sheila (Brynley) Roberts, Rafael (Alqueen) Diwa, Maria (Frederick) Martinez, Krystal (Elvin Flores) Kolakowski, Angeline Kolakowski, Randall (Amina) Hoffer, Rachael (Michael Solak) Hoffer, Barbara McClinton, Jonathan Hoffer, David Kolakowski, Lisa Friend, the late Bryan Friend, and the late Nicole Kolakowski. Also survived by 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, sister Irene Folk, and sister-in-law Leona Kolakowski. Frank proudly served his country as an engine mechanic in the United States Navy. He retired after many years as a truck driver with Jones Transfer and also was a volunteer fireman with the LMR Fire Department. In his spare time, Frank loved working on cars. He will be greatly missed by all.
