Click on the tribute wall above to view Frank’s video tribute. Frank George Domosle, age 86 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Born April 18, 1935 in Monroe, Frank was the son of Frank and Emma (Liptak) Domosle. He faithfully served our country in the United States Marine Corps from May 8, 1953 until May 7, 1956. He attended bootcamp in Paris Island, South Carolina and served as an NCO instructor in Quantico, Virginia. He then served as a military police officer in Argentia, Newfoundland. Frank married the love of his life, Jackie Goforth, on August 31, 1957. He worked as a Welder for Ford Motor Company for many years before his retirement. Frank was a member of the Grape Missionary Baptist Church, American Legion Post 514 and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, archery and hunting, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family. Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cabin in Roscommon MI. He was an accomplished bow hunter successfully bagging deer and wild boar but not so successful in his pursuit of black bear. He was an excellent marksman with his pistols and rifles, as well as a skilled trap shooter. In his later years the harvesting of game wasn’t as important as the time he spent outdoors. He was a very meticulous and organized man. The old adages of “A place for everything and everything in its place.” And “If you’re going to do something, do it right!” were his rules. Frank leaves to cherish his memory, Jackie, his wife of the past 64 years; children: Frank (Cheryl) Domosle, Lisa (Mike) LaRoy, LeAnn (Ed) Shumate and Rob Domosle; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way, and 5 great great grandchildren. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Steve Nagy, Carl Nagy, Elizabeth Cloum, Esther Iannucci, an infant brother David, and two granddaughters McKenzie and Marie. Memorial contributions in honor of Frank may be made to Grape Missionary Baptist Church.
