Born in Brooklyn, West Virginia, Frances was the daughter of Asa and Lucy (Murner) Kimble. She married the love of her life, Clem Winland, on June 20, 1946. Sadly he preceded her in death November 18, 1988. A dedicated homemaker, Frances also had worked at various restaurants as a cook and as a waitress. Frances also was well known for playing the Bass in country bands until just last year; having been the opening act for such performers at Loretta Lynn and the Oak Ridge Boys.
