Born in Brooklyn, West Virginia, Frances was the daughter of Asa and Lucy (Murner) Kimble. She married the love of her life, Clem Winland, on June 20, 1946. Sadly he preceded her in death November 18, 1988. A dedicated homemaker, Frances also had worked at various restaurants as a cook and as a waitress. Frances also was well known for playing the Bass in country bands until just last year; having been the opening act for such performers at Loretta Lynn and the Oak Ridge Boys. Her hobbies included quilting, making clothes for her children and grandchildren, gardening and making yard ornaments. Frances leaves to cherish her memory a daughter-in-law Sandra Winland of Monroe; grandchildren: Christopher Winland, Holly Winland, Bobbi Winland, Michael Winland, Art Richards, Michael Adkins and Kelly Bacon; as well as her great grandchildren: Justin, Megan, Courtney, Miranda, Bailey, Kaitlyn and Clemson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Clem Winland Jr. and Robert Winland, his wife Sheila; and a brother Lawrence Kimble. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Frances are asked to consider ProMedica Hospice.
