Frances A. Herdon

Herdon, Frances A. (Siracuse) of Trenton, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Bella A. Herdon. Cherished mother of Mark (Kelly) Herdon, Sandy (J.R.) Martin, Jennifer Herdon and preceded by death by her premature daughter, Karen Ann. Dearest grandmother of Marissa (Steven) Stonebraker and Lindsey (Matthew) Cappuccilli. Loving great-grandmother of Joie Stonebraker, Ever Stonebraker, Rein Stonebraker, and twins Ivy and Rory Cappuccilli. Special thanks to Ron and Donna Derry and Diane Boyer for being great friends. Frances is preceded in death by her parents James and Julia Siracuse and her siblings Joe and Adeline.

Frances lived a life of faith that she passed onto her children. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton for many years. Frances cared for many children in her home running a licensed daycare. She was an extremely talented seamstress throughout her entire life and she worked tirelessly, never charging much because she “just wanted to help people”. Frances was a member of a Bunko Club for 25 years. She will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.

Visitation for Frances will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 2550 Edsel, Trenton, MI 48183. In State 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
