Florencia was born on November 8, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas and went Home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2023 at the age of 95; she was of Southwest Detroit. Beloved mom of David (Elena) Martinez and Diana (David) Wasmund. Proud grandma “Deeda” of the late Amber, Patricia, Elizabeth (Josh), Mario (Nicole), Trevor (Hailei) and Dana. Great grandma “Deeda” of Mikey, Davee, Enzo, Penelope, Colsen, Calliope, Lucy and Gwenevere and great great grandma “Deeda” of Damien. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Macario and Amilia (Hernandez) Cortez and two sisters Andrea Lopez and Juanita Martinez. Florencia’s love in life was her family; she always expressed her love for them by telling them she loved them “MUCHO MUCHO”. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made as the donor chooses.
