Affectionately referred to as “Granny” by most. She is survived by her children that she absolutely adored; Roni Legris, Kimi (Mark Bowman) Legris & Chris (Cindy) Legris, her 5 grandchildren that were the light of her life; Christy Moore, Andy (Madison) Moore, Melissa Garcia, Toria & Owen Legris as well as her cherished siblings, each of which she shared a special bond- Gail (The late Tom) Clemens, Lee (Kim) Carroll & Lynne (Kevin) Hensley as well as many nieces & nephews as well as their children ALL that she genuinely held close to her heart. Preceded in death by her parents Donnie & Marie Carroll and her sister Joyce Fay. Evonne “Granny” was a beautiful person inside and out, who loved with her whole heart. Her love was her legacy & that is reflected in the family she leaves behind here and in Tennessee. Evonne loved Jesus and always said he was her best friend ever since she was a little girl. She wanted more than anything for everyone to be together in Heaven after this life. She knew it was important for everyone, even little children, to understand Jesus’ love for us & that they can count on him in every moment of their lives like she always did. The way she lived her life was a direct reflection of her beliefs. She stood on her unwavering faith in challenging times. Her faith was unshakable and kept her steady when most would have fallen. Her testimonies have made an impression on countless people, even some she never even met. Granny had a way to make everyone always feel welcomed, loved, special and safe. She had endearing nicknames for everyone. Her home truly was a slice of Heaven and that’s because of the love she grew there (and the one of a kind, scrumptious chocolate chip cookies she baked there). She made every holiday special and christmas simply magical. To know Granny was to love Granny. She will be forever missed until we are joined with her in Heaven.
