Evanell M. Gronda

Evanell Gronda of Grosse Ile was born on October 11th 1955 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Alva Quinton Robinson and Panzie Dow (nee: Nabors) Robinson and died on July 20th 2019 at Seasons Hospice at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Ernest Gronda, loving mother to Jennifer (Andrew) Humphriss, Jessica Webb, Raven (Gordon) Pettigrew, Mary (Daniel) Odine and Shawn Webb. Proud grandmother of Mukaw Pettigrew, Estrella Villa, Lilith Hanke, James Beneteau II, Justin Beneteau, Jodi (Michael) Carlson, the late Amber Webb and Shane Hanke Jr. Great grandmother to Christian and Colton Carlson also survived by one brother Harlan Robinson and one sister Marcella (John) Christian as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Alva and Panzie Robinson-Bias, brother Lee Robinson and two sisters Elise Schalk & Maxine Palmisano. Evanell attended Flat Rock High School and then went on to become a Cosmetologist; she was of Chickasaw and Choctaw American Indian ancestry, was involved with the Wyandotte Indians, taught crafts and was a Girl Scout Leader for three years. She will be greatly missed! Visitation is on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 3 – 8 pm and on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the service which will begin at 12 pm all at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes,3200 West Rd., Trenton, MI. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Grosse Ile, MI.
