Born May 4, 1910 in Hinds County, Mississippi, Eva was the daughter of Noah and Sannie (Pickens) Johnson and was the 4th child of 7. She confessed early that Jesus was her Lord and Savior. United with the Orange Hill Baptist Church, she was a faithful servant there. She later met and married the love of her life, Fred Myles, in December of 1940 and from this union they had one son; Ernie. Eva united and served faithfully at Mount Hood Baptist Church, Clinton, MS. In February of 1954 Eva and her family moved to Monroe, MI continuing in the mission being a disciple of Jesus. Eva worked as a Caregiver and Housekeeper for many in the area. Sadly, her husband preceded her in death in 1972. Eva joined Temple of Prayer under the discipleship of Elder Clay Holland, where she was a faithful member until 1996. She continued her Christian journey under the pastor ship of Rev. Jack Branham of Monroe Gospel Church, Monroe. Eva leaves to cherish her memory her son Ernie Myles of Monroe; a grandson Malcolm X Campbell Myles of Tampa, Florida; 2 great granddaughters Chelsie Powell and Domonique Campbell, both of Tampa, Florida; 2 great great grandchildren Isiah and Iyanah Dodd, both of Tampa, Florida; step daughter Bennie "Polly" Mae Johnson of Mississippi; nieces Pamela Jackson of Tampa, Florida and Liza Granderson of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by a very special cousin Narvell Woods of Eudora, Arkansas who turned 105 January 2, 2015 and a host of other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was preceded in death by her 6 siblings. Friends may call Thursday from 1-9pm at the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E.
