Ernie Tharpe

Ernie was born September 28, 1923 in Wabash, Indiana and died June 19, 2014 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Beloved husband of 64 years to Julie who he married on April 29, 1950 in Rossford, Ohio. Loving dad of Nancy (Rich) Johnson and David (Susan) Tharpe. Proud grandpa of Robin (Michael) Kiss, Sean Tharpe (Lauren Der), Jeremy Tharpe and Chelsea Tharpe. Great grandpa of Maks and Kaylynn. Also survived by other loving family and friends, Preceded in death by his parents Harry and Verdi (nee: Frank) Tharpe; three brothers Norris, Ty and Therole and two sisters Delores and Vera. Ernie was a graduate of Trenton High School; he enjoyed bowling, golf and going to Casino. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
