Ernie Berry
Ernie Berry, age 90 of Woodhaven, passed away June 29th, 2023.
Born in Ecorse, Ernie was the son of Ernest and Catherine (Williams) Berry. A high school graduate, he faithfully served our country with the United States Army. Ernie worked as the Deputy Police Chief for the City of Woodhaven for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons as well as the American Legion Post 217.
Ernie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved life partner Sandi Moffet; children: Ken Berry and Dan Berry; grandchildren: Chelsea (Justin) Kittle, Taylor (Arron) Kittle and Connor Burt; great grandchildren: Macie, Milan, Brinley, Colton and Delaney. Sadly, he was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Burt; as well as siblings Joyce and Floss.
