Beloved father of Kathleen (Mark) Boettcher, Diane (Jim) Hanley, Jerry (Peggy) Kanowski, Maureen (Terry) Benedict, Laura (John) DeMarco, John (Candy) Kanowski. Dearest grandfather of Ashley, Nicole, Matt, Michelle, Sarah, Sean, Kyle, Jake, Kiley, Kennedy and Jack and great grandfather of Kaelyn and Logan. Beloved brother of Toni Przytulski. He is preceded in death by his brothers Eugene and Richard Kanowski, his father Ernest J. Kanowski and his mother Mary Niwa Kanowski. Ernest dedicated 42 years at Ford Motor Company. He loved to spend his time playing golf, bowling, and softball. He later found enjoyment in puzzles, scratch off lottery tickets, crossword puzzles, coloring art work, IPAD games, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved watching westerns, old time tv shows, and all sports - especially Tom Brady. Memorial contributions in honor of Ernest may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
