Ernest Grimm, Jr.

Ernest Grimm, Jr. was born on May 25, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan and died on July 27, 2019 at his home on Grosse Ile at the age of 93; he was of Grosse Ile, Stevensville, Traverse City and Harrisville, Michigan. Beloved husband of the late Ruth. Loving dad of Karen (Jon) Sleder and Lisa Grimm. Proud papa of Amanda Sleder, Brianne (Thomas) Buckleitner and Scott Sleder and great papa of Levi and Trevor and to Lillie who is due in October. Cherished brother of Gloria Stalla. Dearest uncle of Michael, Paul, Felix, John, Gina and their families. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Anna (nee: Carlson) and two brothers Jack and Clifford. A committal service will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 10:30 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Memorial contributions to honor Ernest’s life may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Please note that the service will begin at 10:30 am and the cemetery has a set schedule.
