Landberg, Emma M., age 96, of Trenton, Michigan, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at home. She was born January 5, 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Stephen and Helena Kielmar. Emma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton, Michigan. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard and Stephen Kielmar, and two sisters, her twin sister Edna Kielmar and Mary (Kielmar) Grooms. She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Landberg, her sons, Roy E. Landberg Jr. (and his wife Claudia) and Stephen J. Landberg (and his late wife Deborah), three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, her sister Helen (James) Courson, and her brother Louis (Freda) Kielmar. Emma served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed in New York and Florida. She was a tireless volunteer in her community, serving for over 20 years as a Boy Scout leader, and donated over 15,000 volunteer hours at Beaumont Southshore Hospital. Emma was a founding member of the New Horizon Senior Club in Trenton, and was a Soroptimist "Woman of the Year". She left school in the sixth grade during the depression, but later completed her high school GED diploma at the age of 73. She was a blessing to many, and will be missed by all who knew her.
