Emily Grace Haynes

Emily Grace Haynes, age 73 of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Alice Lorraine Care Center.

Born October 23, 1949 in Monroe, Emily was the daughter of Ralph and Frances (Di John) Cerelli. A graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, she married the love of her life, Robert Haynes, on May 27, 1978. Sadly, he preceded her in death April 1, 2019. Emily retired from Detroit Stoker after more than 30 years of service with the company. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and then St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She and Robert enjoyed traveling and especially visiting Zoos across the country.

Emily leaves to cherish her memory four siblings: Mike (Debbie) Cerelli, Aggie Sheets, Ralph (Sue) Cerelli and Lucy Armstrong; nieces and nephews: Scott, Stacey, Stephanie, Michael, Sean, James, David, Jessica, Tiffany and Nicole; as well as great nieces and nephews: Sloan, Renea, Zack, Trinity, Nicholas and Sebastian. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings: Pat Cerelli and Jim Cerelli.
