Elizabeth Mary Fountain

Elizabeth Mary Fountain, age 97 of Newport, passed away January 9, 2024.

Born April 10, 1926 in Newport, Elizabeth was the daughter of Clarence and Lucy (Cousino) Baron. She married the love of her life, Gene Ross Fountain, on November 8, 1947. Sadly he preceded her in death April 11, 1977. A dedicated homemaker, she was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Elizabeth enjoyed baking, especially pies, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory children: Donald (Phyllis) Fountain, Dan Fountain, Dale (Jan) Fountain, Doug Fountain and Dennis Fountain; 7 grandchildren and 17great grandchildren as well as a sibling Joe Baron. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Fountain and 13 siblings.
